To coincide with today’s PressPrimer Quiz 2.0 release, we’re thrilled to introduce three new add-ons that bring some incredibly powerful features to our flagship quiz plugin. These new plugins are for users who need capabilities beyond what the base plugin offers.

Tier 1 Add-on: Educator

Groups, Assignments, and Import/Export

The Educator add-on is for instructors working with larger datasets and groups of students. The initial release includes a number of features to make more advanced instructor tasks easier.

Learner Groups let you organize users however it makes sense for your organization, such as by department or classroom. The plugin adds a special “PressPrimer Teacher” role, and accounts with this role have a restricted view of /wp-admin/ that allows them to create questions and quizzes, set up groups, see results for their students (instead of all users on the WordPress site), and share information with other teachers. Teachers only see data for their own groups; administrators see everything. While the free version of PressPrimer Quiz requires administrators to do everything, the Educator add-on empowers individual instructors on a site to create and manage their own quizzes and students.

Quiz Assignments allow teachers to assign their quizzes to students in their group. Assign any group to a quiz and control everything, from when it’s available, to when it closes (with automatic submission when it’s due), to whether or not late submissions will be accepted. Teachers can even track assignment progress and report on student performance. The add-on includes a shortcode and block for the front end so students can easily see their assigned quizzes, manage their progress, and track status.

Import and Export tools make it easy to move questions in and out of WordPress. Have hundreds of questions in a spreadsheet? Import them directly from CSV, JSON, or XML formats. The import wizard includes a preview tool to check your data before committing, duplicate question checking, and even a tool to map your columns to PressPrimer Quiz questions.

Tier 2 Add-on: School

Question Analysis and xAPI

The School extension adds several tools for reporting to PressPrimer Quiz.

Question Analysis gives instructors real, actionable metrics and advice from learner responses, showing which questions and answers are working and which need attention. See how often students are selecting each response and how effective answers are. Beyond the psychometric reporting, see at a glance which questions should be revised or simply aren’t working.

The xAPI Integration sends learning data to a Learning Record Store of your choice. When learners complete quizzes, send xAPI statements to LRS platforms like Learning Locker, SCORM Cloud, Watershed, and more. Statements are queued for background delivery, and any failed attempts are automatically retried with exponential backoff. You can view pending and failed statements, and manually retry failures if needed.

Tier 3 Add-on: Enterprise

Audit Control and Branding

The Enterprise plugin for PressPrimer Quiz adds the branding and accountability features that larger organizations require.

Audit Logging settings can track every significant quiz action on the site, from seeing who created quizzes to when settings were changed and questions edited. Filter by event type, user, date range, or object.

Question Version History shows teachers and admins how questions have evolved over time. Every edit is tracked; see side-by-side comparisons of exactly what changes were made to quiz questions, when they were made, and who made them. Roll back to previous versions or even use the Deleted Questions report to restore old questions.

White-Label Branding lets you make PressPrimer Quiz look like your own product. Replace the plugin name, logo, icon, images, colors, and even add your own custom CSS for fine-tuning. Your users will never see third-party branding.

We’re celebrating the release of our premium add-ons with a launch sale that runs now until the end of February. These launch prices are the lowest that we’ll ever offer for the plugins, and purchases made now will lock in low renewal pricing too. The cost of the plugins will go up on March 1, 2026.
