The WP Fusion integration applies tags to contacts and adds them to lists in your CRM based on quiz activity. Because it works through WP Fusion, one integration reaches more than 60 CRMs, including HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, and FluentCRM. Both WP Fusion and the free WP Fusion Lite are supported.
Requirements
- PressPrimer Quiz (free) 3.0.0 or higher
- PressPrimer Quiz – School 3.0.0 or higher
- WP Fusion or WP Fusion Lite, installed and connected to your CRM
Enabling the Integration
- Navigate to PressPrimer Quiz > Settings > Integrations.
- In the WP Fusion section, turn on Enable WP Fusion tagging.
- Choose the tags and lists to apply at each moment (described below). The tag pickers list the tags from your connected CRM; use Refresh tags if you have added tags in the CRM recently.
- Save your settings.
Tagging Moments
Tags can be applied at four moments:
- Sign-up (email registration): Applied when a quiz attempt begins and the person’s email address is known. You can also add the contact to CRM lists at this moment; lists apply at sign-up only.
- Completion: Applied when any attempt is completed.
- Pass: Applied when a completed attempt meets the quiz’s pass percentage.
- Fail: Applied when a completed attempt falls short of the pass percentage.
Per-Quiz Tags
The settings above are site-wide defaults. Individual quizzes can add their own tags for the same moments from the quiz editor’s Premium Settings tab. Per-quiz tags are added on top of the site-wide defaults, which is useful for tagging contacts by topic, course, or campaign based on which quiz they took.
Guests and Marketing Consent
Logged-in users always sync, since they already have accounts on your site. Guests are different: a guest is only synced to your CRM if they checked the marketing consent checkbox when entering their email. Guests who decline consent, or who were never shown the checkbox, produce no CRM calls at all.
The consent checkbox is a free plugin feature, enabled under PressPrimer Quiz > Settings > General in the Guest Email Consent section. See Plugin Settings for details. If you plan to tag guest quiz takers, enable the consent checkbox first.
Notes
- Spaced repetition review quizzes never trigger tagging. Only regular quizzes sync.
- CRM problems never affect quiz taking. If a tag cannot be applied, the attempt completes and scores normally.
- The integration applies tags and list mappings only. CRM field mapping is not included.
