PressPrimer Quiz includes a front-end dashboard that you can place on any page of your site. Students get access to assigned quizzes, quizzes that are in progress, and results from previous quiz attempts. Premium add-ons build on the same dashboard, adding screens like the teacher dashboard in the Educator add-on.
Setting Up the Dashboard Page
The dashboard lives on a regular WordPress page. To set it up:
- Navigate to PressPrimer Quiz > Settings > General.
- Find the Dashboard Page setting near the bottom.
- Select an existing page, or click Create page for me to have the plugin create and select one automatically.
- Save your settings.
If you prefer to build the page yourself, add the PPQ Dashboard block or the [pressprimer_quiz_dashboard] shortcode to any page, then choose that page in the Dashboard Page setting so the plugin knows where to link.
The My Results Screen
My Results shows a student their complete attempt history in one place. The screen includes:
- Filters: Narrow the list to a specific quiz, or filter by status (Completed, In progress, Passed, Failed, or Abandoned).
- Sortable columns: Sort by date, quiz, score, or status.
- Pagination: Long histories are split into pages.
- Actions: Each completed attempt links to its full results page, and in-progress attempts show a Resume button.
The dashboard requires a signed-in user. Logged-out visitors see a message asking them to log in.
Appearance
The dashboard automatically inherits the appearance settings configured under PressPrimer Quiz > Settings > Appearance, including your colors and typography choices. If you have customized how your quizzes look, the dashboard will match without any additional configuration. See Plugin Settings for details on appearance options.
