PressPrimer Quiz is a free plugin available from the official WordPress.org plugin directory. This guide covers installation of the plugin on your own WordPress site.

System Requirements

Before installing PressPrimer Quiz, your WordPress site must meet these requirements:

For end users, JavaScript must be enabled and users must be running a modern web browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

Installing from WordPress.org

1. Sign in to your WordPress site as an administrator and visit /wp-admin/.
2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
3. Search for “PressPrimer Quiz” in the search field.
4. Locate the plugin in the search results.
5. Click Install Now.
6. Once installation completes, click Activate.

After activation, you’ll see a new PressPrimer Quiz menu entry in your /wp-admin/ sidebar.

After activating the plugin, PressPrimer Quiz will:

• Set up several database tables to store your quizzes, questions, and results
• Set up user capabilities

When you first visit the PressPrimer dashboard after activation, you’ll be prompted to complete the Onboarding Wizard. This 8-step tutorial will introduce you to the key pages and features of the plugin. You can skip the wizard and return to it any time from the link on the Dashboard page.

Uninstalling the Plugin

If you need to remove PressPrimer Quiz but plan to use it again later, perform the following:

1. In /wp-admin/, visit Plugins > Installed Plugins.
2. Click Deactivate under PressPrimer Quiz.
3. Click Delete to remove the plugin files.

Your quizzes, questions, results, and other data will be preserved in the database.

If you want to remove the plugin and all of its data, perform the following:

1. In /wp-admin/, go to PressPrimer Quiz > Settings > Advanced.
2. Enable Remove Data on Uninstall.

3. Visit Plugins > Installed Plugins.
4. Click Deactivate under PressPrimer Quiz.
5. Click Delete to remove the plugin files.

The plugin and all of its data will be removed. There is no way to recover quiz data if you choose this option.
