The Educator add-on provides tools to monitor student progress on assigned quizzes. You can see who has completed assignments, view scores, and identify students who may need follow-up.

The same completion details are available from the Assignments screen on the front-end Teacher Dashboard, so teachers can monitor progress without visiting /wp-admin/.

Assignment Overview

The Assignments tab on each group page shows all assignments with summary statistics:

• Quiz name: The assigned quiz
• Status: Whether the assignment is active, closed, or not yet available
• Due date: When the assignment is due (if set)
• Completion: Progress bar showing how many students have completed the quiz

Viewing Detailed Completion Status

1. On the group’s Assignments tab, click View Details (eye icon) for an assignment.
2. You’ll see a list of all group members with their status for that assignment.

Student Statuses

Each student will show one of the following statuses:

• Not Started: Student has not begun the quiz
• In Progress: Student has started but not submitted the quiz
• Completed: Student has finished the quiz (shows score)
• Overdue: Due date has passed and student hasn’t completed the quiz
• Upcoming: Assignment is not yet available (before the “Available From” date)

Student View: Assigned Quizzes

Students can see their assigned quizzes using the Assigned Quizzes block or shortcode. To add this to a page:

Using the Block

1. Edit the page where you want to display assigned quizzes.
2. Add a new block and search for “Assigned Quizzes”.
3. Insert the block and publish the page.

Using the Shortcode

Add the following shortcode to any page or post:

[ppqe_assigned_quizzes]

Students will see a table showing:

• Quiz name
• Due date (with visual indicators for upcoming deadlines)
• Their completion status
• A button to start or continue the quiz

Students can filter their view by status (e.g., show only incomplete assignments) and sort by due date or quiz name.

Tips for Instructors

• Check the assignment detail view a few days before the due date to identify students who haven’t started.
• Use the “In Progress” status to identify students who may have encountered issues completing the quiz.
• Consider enabling late submissions for a grace period if many students are showing as overdue.
