School gives your credentials a public presence: a profile page for each issuing organization and a program page for each certificate you offer. Together they let a prospective learner see what a credential means and let an employer see who stands behind it. Program pages are off until you publish them, and nothing on either page identifies a recipient.

The Issuer Profile Page
Every active issuer has a profile page; its address is shown on the issuer editor with a View public profile link. The page shows the issuer’s logo, name, and description (or a “Certificate issuer on [your site]” line when there is no description), a link to its website, and a Certificate programs list of its published program pages. When at least one of the issuer’s certificates is listed in the directory, a Credential holders section appears with a searchable, browsable directory scoped to this issuer. The issuer’s accent color, if set, colors the page’s top border.
Program Pages
A program page describes one credential: what it means, how it is earned, what it looks like, and how many people hold it. Each template can have one. To set it up, open the template in the designer and switch to the Organization tab:
- Program page address: the URL-friendly version of the program name, like
advanced-first-aid. Each program needs its own. If you change it after publishing, the old address redirects to the new one so shared links keep working. - Description: what the credential means. Also used as the page description search engines display.
- Criteria: what someone must do to earn it.
- Publish the program page: off by default. The page is reachable only while this is on and the template has an address.
The published page shows the description and criteria, a sample image of the certificate with a caption making clear that the name and details on it are examples, the number of people who have earned the credential, a “See who has earned this credential” link to the scoped directory when listed holders exist, and a link to verify a certificate. If the template belongs to an issuer, the page names it and links to its profile.
The earner count is cached and refreshes when certificates are awarded or revoked, so it stays accurate without slowing the page down. Site templates can have program pages too; they simply show no issuer.
