PressPrimer Certificate – School is a premium add-on that adds issuing organizations, program pages, a credential directory, organization-branded verification, retroactive awarding, email copies, and more to PressPrimer Certificate. This guide covers installation, license activation, and what’s added after setup.
Requirements
Before installing the School add-on, ensure you have:
- PressPrimer Certificate (free) installed and activated
- PressPrimer Certificate – Educator installed and activated. School builds on Educator’s batch engine and site-level branding, and it will not load without it.
- WordPress 6.4 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- A valid School license
Installation
- Install and activate PressPrimer Certificate – Educator first, if you have not already. See Installing the Educator Add-on.
- Download the School add-on ZIP file from your PressPrimer account.
- In your WordPress admin, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
- Click Choose File and select the ZIP file you downloaded.
- Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
Activating Your License
All PressPrimer Certificate add-ons share one license tab. Navigate to Certificates > Settings > License, enter your School license key, and click Activate License. A School license covers Educator as well, so one key activates both. The tab’s Add-on Status table shows each add-on and whether it is licensed and installed.
Troubleshooting
- If the public issuer or program pages return a 404 right after activation, visit Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes once to refresh the site’s URL rules.
- If menu items don’t appear after activation, refresh the page or clear your browser cache.
- If license activation fails, double-check the key and that your site URL matches the URL on your PressPrimer account. The error message names the specific problem.
