PressPrimer Certificate

Email Copies (CC and BCC)

When a certificate is awarded, someone other than the recipient often needs to know: a registrar keeping records, an archive mailbox, or the group leader responsible for a cohort. School adds per-template CC and BCC addresses to award emails, plus optional copies to the recipient’s LearnDash Group Leaders and PressPrimer Teachers.

Setting Up Copies

Open the template in the designer, switch to the Award tab, and find the Email copies section:

  • CC and BCC: email addresses, separated by commas, up to ten in each field. Anything that is not a valid address is named in the error when you save.
  • Email LearnDash Group Leaders: blind-copies the leaders of every LearnDash group the recipient belongs to. Shown only when LearnDash is active.
  • Email PressPrimer Teachers: blind-copies the teachers of the recipient’s groups from PressPrimer Quiz or PressPrimer Assignment Educator. Shown only when one of those is active.

Settings are per template, so a compliance certificate can copy the safety office while a workshop certificate copies nobody.

Email Copies

Which Emails Get Copies

Copies go out with the certificate award email, no matter how the certificate was awarded: by a trigger, by hand, by a bulk award, or by a retroactive run with emailing turned on. Resends of the award email carry the copies too. Expiry reminders and test emails are not sent to these addresses.

CC or BCC?

Addresses in CC are visible to the recipient in the email header; addresses in BCC are not. Use CC when the recipient should know who else was told (their manager, say) and BCC for internal mailboxes and archives. The Group Leader and Teacher options always use BCC.
