A certificate can have more than one page: a transcript of what was covered, terms and conditions, a course outline, or a second language on page two. Every page is designed with the same tools as the first, and the PDF contains them all.
The Page Rail
With Educator active, the designer shows a Certificate pages rail with a thumbnail of each page. Click a thumbnail to edit that page. The rail’s controls:
- Add page appends a blank page.

- Duplicate page copies the current page with everything on it, which is the quickest way to start a page that shares the first page’s frame or header.
- Drag thumbnails to reorder pages.
- Delete page removes the current page. The confirmation tells you how many elements the page holds, because they are deleted with it. The last remaining page cannot be deleted.
A template can have up to ten pages.
Designing Pages
Each page has its own elements and its own background. Text, images, merge fields, inline tokens, alignment tools, and QR codes all work on any page, so the QR code can sit on page one and the credential ID on page three if that suits the design. Page size and orientation are set once for the whole template; every page shares them.
What Recipients and Verifiers Get
The PDF contains every page in the order shown in the rail. Preview renders all of them, the certificate page and the email attachment carry the complete PDF, and so does the download on the verification page. Where a single image of the certificate is needed, such as the link preview when a recipient shares it, page one is used.
If Educator Is Deactivated
Certificates awarded from a multi-page template keep working with the add-on off: they still award, email, download, and verify with every page intact. What changes is editing. The free plugin’s designer is single-page, so opening a multi-page template shows a message explaining that the template needs Educator to be edited. Reactivate the add-on and the page rail returns with the pages as you left them.
