PressPrimer Certificate provides two methods for embedding its front-end features into your pages: Gutenberg blocks and shortcodes. Both produce identical results; choose whichever fits your workflow.

Gutenberg Blocks

Certificate Verification: The credential ID lookup form that visitors use to verify certificates. A page containing this form is created automatically on activation, but you can place the block on any page. If you move the form to a new page, update the assigned verification page under Certificates > Settings > General so certificate QR codes and links point to the right place.

My Certificates: Lists the logged-in visitor’s earned certificates with status, dates, and verify and download links. Visitors who are not signed in see a login prompt.

Shortcodes

Verification Shortcode

[ppcert_verify]

Renders the verification form. The form supports direct links: appending ?ppcert_id=CREDENTIAL-ID to the page URL pre-fills and checks that credential immediately, which is exactly how certificate QR codes work.

My Certificates Shortcode

[ppcert_my_certificates]

Renders the signed-in visitor’s certificate list, with status filtering, sorting, and pagination built in.

Troubleshooting

• If a shortcode appears as plain text on the page, make sure PressPrimer Certificate is active.
• If the My Certificates area shows a login prompt, the visitor is not signed in. The list only works for logged-in users.
• If a signed-in user sees an empty list, no certificates have been issued to that user account yet.
• If certificate QR codes or emailed links lead to a missing page, the assigned verification page was deleted or unpublished. Assign a page containing the verification form under Certificates > Settings > General.
