PressPrimer Assignment – School is a premium add-on that adds AI-assisted grading and proofreading to PressPrimer Assignment. This guide covers installation, license activation, and what’s added after setup.

Requirements

Before installing the School add-on, ensure you have:

• PressPrimer Assignment (free) version 2.2.0 or higher
• PressPrimer Assignment – Educator version 2.2.0 or higher
• WordPress 6.4 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher
• A valid School add-on license
• An API key from OpenAI or Anthropic (configured after installation)

The School add-on requires the Educator add-on because rubric-aware AI grading builds on the rubric data model that Educator provides.

Installation

1. Download the School add-on ZIP file from your PressPrimer account.
2. In your WordPress admin, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
3. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
4. Click Choose File and select the ZIP file you downloaded.
5. Click Install Now.
6. Once installation completes, click Activate Plugin.

Activating Your License

After activating the plugin, you’ll need to enter your license key to receive automatic updates.

1. Navigate to Assignments > Settings.
2. Click the License tab.
3. Enter your license key in the provided field.
4. Click Activate License.

Troubleshooting

• If you see a message that PressPrimer Assignment or the Educator add-on is required, ensure both plugins are installed, activated, and updated to version 2.2.0 or higher.
• If menu items or AI buttons don’t appear after activation, refresh the page or clear your browser cache.
