White-label branding lets you customize the plugin’s appearance throughout the WordPress admin to match your organization’s brand. You can replace the PressPrimer name and logos with your own, adjust colors, and add custom CSS.

Accessing White-Label Settings

As an administrator, navigate to Assignments > Settings and select the White-Label tab. Toggle Enable White-Label to activate custom branding.

When white-label is disabled, all custom values are preserved but the plugin falls back to its default appearance. You can turn branding on and off without losing your configuration.

Branding Options

Plugin Name

Replace “PressPrimer Assignment” with your own name throughout the admin interface. This affects the admin menu, page titles, and welcome messages.

Dashboard Subtitle

Customize the welcome text displayed on the Dashboard (at Assignments > Dashboard). Use this to add a tagline or brief description.

Header Color

Change the background color of page headers on the Dashboard, Settings, and Reports pages. Enter a hex color code (e.g., #14B8A6) or use the color picker. The default is slate grey (#334155).

Custom Logos

You can upload custom images to replace the default PressPrimer branding in four locations:

• Menu Icon: The small icon shown in the WordPress admin sidebar menu. Recommended size: 20×20 pixels.
• Dashboard Logo: The logo displayed in the dashboard page header. Recommended size: 200×50 pixels or similar aspect ratio.
• Mascot Image: The decorative image shown in Settings and Reports page headers. If you prefer a cleaner look, you can hide this entirely using the Hide Header Images option.
• Assignment Logo: A logo that can be displayed on the student-facing assignment and submission interface.

Click the upload button next to each option to select an image from your Media Library or upload a new one.

Hide Header Images

Enable this option on the Logos tab to remove decorative images from page headers entirely, giving the admin interface a more minimal appearance.

Custom CSS

Add custom CSS rules to further customize the admin interface appearance. This CSS is only loaded in the WordPress admin, not on the front-end of your site. Use this for fine-tuned adjustments beyond what the standard options provide.

Tips

• Use PNG images with transparent backgrounds for the best results with logos.
• Test your branding across different admin pages to ensure it looks consistent.
• If your header color is dark, the default white text should remain readable. For very light header colors, you may need custom CSS to adjust text colors.
• White-label settings are stored per-site. On a multisite network, each site has its own branding configuration.
