The Group Completion Reports give you a visual, at-a-glance view of how a group is performing. Instead of scanning rows in a list, you get headline numbers, a status breakdown, a score histogram, and a status grid showing exactly which students are behind on which assignments.
Opening the Report
- Navigate to Assignments > Reports.
- Click the Group Completion Reports card.
- Select a group from the dropdown at the top of the page.
The report only shows data for groups you have permission to see. Administrators see all groups; teachers see only groups they own.
What the Report Shows
Stat Cards
Five headline numbers across the top of the report:
- Total Members — number of students in the group
- Submission Rate — percentage of (member × assignment) combinations that have an actual submission
- Average Score — mean final score across graded submissions
- Late Rate — percentage of submissions flagged as late
- Not Submitted — number of (member × assignment) combinations with no submission yet
Status Donut
A donut chart breaks down every (member × assignment) combination by current status: Not Submitted, Submitted, Grading, Graded, or Returned. Statuses with zero entries are hidden so the chart stays readable.
Score Distribution
A histogram bucketing graded submissions by score range. If no submissions have been graded yet, the chart shows an empty state instead.
Status Grid
A grid with members on rows and assignments on columns. Each cell is color-coded by current status, so you can scan the grid to spot patterns — which students are consistently behind, which assignments have low completion rates, where late submissions cluster.
Click any member row to drill down into that member’s detail view.
Member Detail Drill-Down
The member detail view shows everything you need to understand one student’s progress in this group:
- Submission history across every distributed assignment, with status and score for each
- Score trend sparkline showing how the member’s scores have changed over time across graded submissions
- Aggregate stats including average score, submission rate, and late rate for this member alone
Click Back to all members to return to the main report.
Filtering the Report
Two filters narrow the data shown in the report:
- Date range — limit the report to submissions made within a specific time window
- Assignment — focus on a single assignment, or leave on All assignments to include everything distributed to the group
Filters apply to every section of the report simultaneously — stat cards, donut, distribution, and grid all update together.
